About us Welcome
The stings & things
mission is to make high quality music, song, mp3s (mp3z),
wav, sound effects and samples freely available to all
users. These can be used as windows themes, backing music,
for productions, podcasts etc. The most popular download
is happy birthday song. Music is created in my state-of-the-art
digital studio featuring Sonar Digital Audio Workstation,
2Tb of storage and a range of outboard gear.
This is also a showcase for my music and songs, (which I have been writing since the age of 10!)

Format of the site
There are tracks of all sorts of styles here. The site originally started as a place to get free "beds" and "loops" to use in stage or broadcast productions, or even as jingles and stings for podcasts. Then I added the free happy birthday tune which has turned into the most popular download - with hundreds of thousands of free downloads! Finally, I have now been using this site to showcase and sell my other "more serious" songs and music.
Some material is available for free download, although most free material is recorded at lower bitrate (quality) settings. Conversley, paid-for material is available at full CD quality download standard, usually mp3 format. You can download it straight into your mp3 or itunes collection and take it with you on your ipod.
At the moment, to buy an album, you need to pay for and download each track individually, although I am working on a solution to this.
