On 29th April 2004, I was priveleged
to be welcomed at the final performance of Pied Piper by Dale
Community Primary School, Derby.
This was the first performance of the show (to my knowledge) since
the original performance in 1987. |
It was a great night, with a cast of
over 120! The school did a great job at adapting the musical to their
needs. Their dialogue and songs were delightfully interwoven, abd
they adapted some songs for their own needs: e.g. by performaming
them as a rap or spoken over the backing.
To top it off, they added
a great dance number
to celebrate the destruction of the rats, which went down a storm.
